What Type of Oil Does a Toyota Camry Take?

2021 Toyota Camry

Jackson drivers know that oil changes are the lifeblood of every gasoline-powered car. Without oil changes you risk engine damage. But did you know that’s it’s also important to use the right kind of oil? What type of oil does a Toyota Camry take? 0W-20 synthetic oil is the Toyota Camry oil type, and it’s available through the parts department at Toyota of Brookhaven for drivers who prefer to do their own oil changes. Of course, if you opt for a Toyota Camry oil change at Toyota of Brookhaven, we’ll always use 0W-20 synthetic oil per your owner’s manual, and we’ll do it at a price you can afford. Find out more about your Toyota Camry oil changes with us to keep your Camry running great!

Toyota Camry Oil Change Intervals

Since you’re using a synthetic oil for your Monticello oil changes, you only need to change your oil once a year or every 10,000 miles, as long as your car isn’t sitting unused for long periods of time. You can get away with using a conventional oil, but you’ll need a Toyota Camry oil change every six months of 5,000 miles. While synthetic oil is more expensive than conventional, it’s still more cost-effective to use the recommended synthetic oil.
